Construction of Casa de la Cultura Mercedes de Pérez Freites in Cantaura advances by 60%

The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis Marcano, reported that the construction of the “Mercedes de Pérez Freites” House of Culture, located in the city of Cantaura, has achieved 60% progress.

Through the government's account on the social network Instagram, images were shown of Marcano's inspection of the work that promises to be the largest house of culture in Venezuela.

“Cantaura is called to become a cultural epicenter of Anzoátegui, and with works like this we are achieving it,” he said and highlighted the importance of this initiative for the artistic development of the entity.

This project was approved by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and is among the 25 main commitments made by the Bolivarian Government of Anzoátegui for the year 2025, with the purpose of promoting and strengthening cultural activities at the regional and national levels.

The infrastructure includes suitable spaces for the formation, exhibition and dissemination of art in its various manifestations, thus consolidating a solid platform for the cultural growth of the population
