Copa Venezuela 2026 completed its second round

The second round of the group stage of the Venezuela Cup 2026 culminated in comebacks in the final minutes.

At the Florentino Oropeza Stadium in San Felipe, Caracas FC defeated Yaracuyanos FC 2-3. The visit was brought forward by Juan Sebastián González to 19', but the locals equaled Alonso Córdoba's goal at 65'. A penalty converted by Alejandro Villarreal at 73' and a goal scored by Miguel Vegas at 86' led to the Avileña victory, despite Jeremi Márquez's final discount at 89'.

Simultaneously, Trujillanos FC and Ureña SC agreed to a dramatic 2-2 tie at the Jorge Azuaje Stadium in Monay. José Alejandro Rivas (28') and Brayan Morales from penalty (82') gave the local team the advantage, but in a vertiginous closing in added time, the visit matched the actions with so many by Christian Soler (90') and Eifer Lupi (90+1').

For its part, Atlético Barinas scored a resounding 3-1 victory over Zamora FC at the Tito Salas Stadium in Sabaneta thanks to a double from Yehová Osorio (42', 47') and a score from Juan Beltrán (72'), responding to the only Zamoran goal scored by José Flores (59').

At Estadio Ramón Hernández, Atlético El Vigía was convincing and thrashed Real Frontera 4-1; although José Reyes advanced the visit to the 12th minute, the locals turned it around with goals from Yefferson Colmenarez (19'), Yeferson Escudero (35') and a double from Yeremi Parra in 48' (penalty) and 85'.

Meanwhile, Dynamo Puerto scored a valuable victory as a visitor by beating Bolívar SC 1-2 in the UDO Deanship; José Gamboa opened the scoring for Bolívar at 23', but Arturo Medina at 38' and Jesús González at 90+3' sealed the eastern comeback.

The day continued at Hermanos Ghersi in Maracay, where Barquisimeto SC beat Aragua FC by a minimum of 0-1 with a goal scored by Frank Ramos in the 56th minute. While at the Monumental Stadium in Maturín, with the same result, Monagas SC defeated Mineros de Guayana thanks to a goal scored by Edder Farías at 90+3'.

At the Farid Richa Stadium, Rayo Zuliano from behind beat Deportivo Lara 1-3; Ricardo García overtook the Larenses to 60', but a final burst of Cristian Maldonado (81'), Frank Chávez (88') and José Morán (90+4') secured the three points for the Marabinos.

Finally, at Brígido Iriarte in Caracas, Ávila FC beat Deportivo Miranda 1-0 with a single score from Diego Márquez 76 minutes into the game.
