In order to train technicians who work as supervisors of linemen's distribution crews within the state power company (CORPOELEC) in Mérida, the course on “Maintenance of energized lines supervisory level” began at the facilities of the Engineering Center.

The Secretary of Public Services, Marielys Sacipa, explained that this is a training process led by the National Management of Training Design and Environment and Occupational Safety and Health (ASHO) to certify a total of eight participants as supervisors of energized line crews.

He also highlighted the importance of this course at the diploma level, which is justified by the complexity of electrical distribution networks because it is the main means of transferring electrical energy from generation plants to final consumers, so it is extremely important that this infrastructure be kept in optimal conditions to ensure the safety and reliability of the National Electricity System (SEN).

Sacipa also highlighted that, on this occasion, there is an outstanding group of highly trained instructors within the training process, made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals in areas related to safety, electrical engineering, first aid and the legislation that governs this field at national and international levels.

In this way, CORPOELEC, together with Governor Jehyson Guzmán, strengthens the training of its workforce, managing to form teams of supervisors who will have the mission of controlling preventive and corrective maintenance maneuvers in distribution circuits in a safe manner in order to protect the physical integrity of the technical and linen personnel responsible for providing this fundamental service to the Venezuelan people.
