CORPOELEC performed comprehensive maintenance on Táchira substations

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out comprehensive maintenance work on the Coloncito and La Pedrera substations, in order to guarantee electricity supply to more than 52 thousand inhabitants of the Libertador and Panamerican municipalities of the state of Táchira.
The technical maneuvers carried out by the CORPOELEC crews contemplated the correction of a hot spot in the transformer output to the 13.8 kV bar, they also changed a 34.5 kV disconnect switch on the gantry, to strengthen the supply of energy to communities in the Canton through the La Pedrera substation.
In addition, according to a press release from CORPOELEC, during the maneuvers, the personnel also attended the Coloncito substation and installed three lightning rods, 12 electrical bridges, 24 barracudas, three disconnectors, a reconnector and carried out insulation tests, thus strengthening the distribution of energy to the inhabitants of the northern area in the Pan-American municipality.
The electricity company works on a permanent basis, with the purpose of repowering the electrical equipment that generates and distributes energy, to provide well-being and quality of life to the population of Tachirense.
