Members
of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB) succeeded in dismantling a drug
microtrafficking network that operated in an indigenous settlement in the state of Táchira.
According to information issued by the Ministry of People's Power for Interior Relations
, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJ), the uniformed personnel dismantled a drug distribution
center that operated in an indigenous community in a situation of mobility, located in the García de
Hevia municipality.
It was also known that the operation was thanks to complaints filed by the
inhabitants of the sector, who warned of the increase in
criminal activities in the area and the use of the settlement for illegal purposes.
“During
the procedure, police commissions managed to seize more than 6
kilograms of narcotic and psychotropic substances, broken down into 3
kilos with 760 grams of presumed cocaine and 2 kilos with 280 grams of suspected marijuana, reported the MPPRIJP.
For this reason, a total of 14 citizens (12 men and 2 women), presumed members of the microtrafficking network, were arrested.
