Officials from the Anti-Drug Division of the Bolivarian National Police (CPNB) seized 137 kilograms of marijuana during an operation carried out in the Píritu municipality of Falcón state, where two people were arrested.
This was announced by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace on its Telegram channel, in which it indicated that the procedure allowed the confiscation of 260 panel-type wrappers of the illegal substance, after the interception of a 36-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, who tried to evade the authorities by taking refuge in a building in the area.
During the deployment, the troops secured the perimeter and entered the property with the support of canine units, whose training made it easier to locate the hidden cargo.
A steel wheelbarrow allegedly used to transport drugs and two cell phones were also held at the site, which will be analyzed as part of the investigations.
The evidence was protected in accordance with chain of custody protocols, while the case was notified to the Public Ministry for the initiation of the corresponding actions.
