Creole karate clubs have three more medals for Venezuela in the Bolivarian Youth Games

The athletes of the Karate discipline, in their different modalities, continue to win medals for Venezuela at the 1st Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024, in Bolivia.

Alejandro Cerpa in the kumite +68 kg category beat Gustavo Valentín from Chile 6-5 in the grand final to climb to the top of the podium in Sucre 2024.

For his part, Juan Montero won the silver in the men's kumite category -68 kg, after falling 5-6 to José Moncada de Chile in the final.

While Rosmery Jurado won the bronze in the kumite category +59 kg after falling 3-9 to Peru's Angieli Tupiño.

To date, Venezuela has 42 gold medals, 29 silver and 34 bronze medals, ranking second in the medal table, surpassed by Colombia, which has 44 gold medals, 37 silver medals and 32 bronze medals.
