From the early hours of Monday, January 12, large sectors of the Iranian population took to the streets under the slogan “National Solidarity and Honor to Peace”.

The marches expressed an absolute rejection of armed unrest and any form of foreign interference in the country's internal affairs, the Telesur website reported.

It highlights that millions of people flooded the cities of Qom, Shiraz and Hamadan. The objective is to dismiss with honor the security personnel and civilians killed. Funeral ceremonies became acts of loyalty to the Revolution and condemnation of terrorism.

Iranians speak out against foreign interference and reject violence promoted from outside. What they are asking for is not chaos or war, but sovereignty and peace.

Demonstrators reported attacks on religious centers, public property and security facilities. They described these actions as a direct aggression against national stability. The People demand firmness from the authorities in the face of groups that disturb public order.

For his part, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told diplomats in Tehran that the country is facing a “terrorist war” -

He assured that the current events are not spontaneous demonstrations, but rather a continuation of the strategic aggression of Washington and Tel Aviv.

Araqchi stressed that Iran's defensive capacity is greater than ever to face any threat. Although the country does not seek war, it will respond firmly to aggressions to its sovereignty. The foreign minister stressed that the path of dialogue remains open to legitimate demands.

Iran is going through episodes of violence that infiltrated initially peaceful protests because of the economic situation. These events have led to the death of members of the police. Security forces are pursuing saboteurs linked to terrorist groups and the Mossad.

The marches in provinces such as Fars and Hamadan reaffirmed the commitment of citizens to legal channels of expression. The Iranian people assured that destabilizing plans will not succeed in breaking national unity or the peace achieved by the Islamic Republic.
