The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, reported that most of the Cuban provinces have been reconnected to the electrical system.

He specified that this was possible after the intense work of the technical teams of the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Electricity Union.

Through the social network X, the head of state pointed out that the National Electricity System (SEN) continues to stabilize, with a generation that exceeds 1000 megawatts.

According to official data, the provinces of Pinar del Rio and Guantánamo remain without access to the SEN, while work is being done to restore supply in these areas.

This restoration process comes after a failure at the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant, located in Matanzas, which caused a total blackout across the country.
