Cuba ratified a zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, said this Friday that the Government of the Antillean nation supports a policy of zero tolerance for international drug trafficking and reiterated that the country does not produce, store or serve as a transit route for drugs.

“Cuba reaffirms its zero-tolerance policy against international drug trafficking. Our country is not a producer, warehouse, or transit of illegal drugs, nor is there financial money laundering,” he said in a message posted on the social network X.

Rodríguez stressed that Cuba maintains active cooperation with States in the region and adheres to international treaties and conventions, acting in accordance with international law and respecting human rights.

As published by the Sputnik agency, the head of Cuban diplomacy referred to the recent appearance of the Minister of Justice and the authorities of the Ministry of the Interior, during which details were provided about the measures promoted by the country to combat drug trafficking.
