On behalf of the People and Government of Cuba, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez rejected this Thursday the measures taken by the Government of the United States (USA) against Venezuela and the North American oil company Chevron.
Rodríguez pointed out that Washington's actions “attack legitimate revenues that the country receives,” and so he ratified Cuba's solidarity “with the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, in the face of this new imperial onslaught.”
Recently, the Donald Trump administration imposed new sanctions against the company Chevron and canceled the licenses for the export of oil that his predecessor, Joe Biden, granted to Venezuela, which will cease to be effective as of March 1.
