The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, warned that his country will not give in to the growing threats or the military might of the United States (USA).
“Cubans are not willing to sell the country or to give in to threat and blackmail, or to renounce the inalienable prerogative with which we build our own destiny, in peace with the rest of the world,” Rodríguez said on the social network X, after denouncing the intensification of pressure from Washington.
The official stressed that Cuba has on its side “reason, international law and the patriotic spirit of a people” to face “the enormous military power and the dimensions of its economy, plus a vast experience of aggression and crimes” by the United States.
This statement by the island's foreign minister responds to recent statements by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who stated that the North American nation has applied maximum pressure on Cuba and that there is nothing left but to “destroy the place completely”.
