The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, participated in the ceremony in honor of the heroes and martyrs who died and wounded in the defense of the Homeland on January 3, when the United States carried out the criminal attack against Venezuela.

“Honor and glory to the fighters who fell in unequal combat in the defense of the Venezuelan Homeland,” he said, while “I express an emotional tribute to the Cuban fighters who, in unequal combat, faced the imperialist enemy that desecrated the sovereignty of the Venezuelan Homeland and protected the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros.”

The chancellor of the largest of the Antilles, he emphasized the unity of the peoples and Government of Cuba and Venezuela.

“We express Cuba's deepest solidarity, loyal to the thinking of Bolívar and Martí, following the eternal memory of Chávez and Fidel in their centenary year, we commit that we will fight together and we will overcome, Venezuela and Cuba will be an example for the liberation of the peoples of our America,” he said.
