In the context of the real threat of military aggression by the United States (USA) against Venezuela, the Cuban people mobilized in solidarity with the homeland of Liberator Simon Bolivar and Commander Hugo Chávez, and repudiated the White House's interference, which poses a serious danger to peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This Friday, more than 50,000 students, young people, workers and members of armed institutions representing the Cuban people gathered before the equestrian statue of Bolivar located on Avenida de los Presidents.

The demonstrators urged imperialism to respect Venezuela and that their brave sons, who represent all of America, will raise their swords if the Giant of the Seven Leagues, eager to seize oil and other resources, attacks them.

The solidarity event was led by the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, as well as the deputy Pedro Infante, first vice-president of the Venezuelan National Assembly.

The meeting was attended by authorities and representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as the delegates of the III International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements.
