Cultor José Martínez “Puchuruco” is accredited as an asset bearer

Through the social network X, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that he conferred the certificate of heritage bearer of Venezuelan culture to the musical lover, José MartínezPuchuruco”.

Villegas indicated that the document was sent through the president of the Cultural Heritage Institute, Dinora Cruz, who traveled to Carayaca, La Guaira state, to give Martínez her respective certificate and a new certificate, because the instrument she previously possessed was destroyed during an attack against her person.

He also stated that with the instrument delivered, Puchuruco “will continue to enhance our musicality”. The Guaireño musician is recognized for being a local singer-songwriter of fulías, aguinaldos and serenades.

In response, Puchuruco expressed his gratitude to the head of culture, in addition to stating: “I keep asking God for you, for President Maduro, that God multiply you for me.”
