Cultural artistic training plan begins in Barinas for the holiday season

The Autonomous Institute of Culture of the State of Barinas (IACEB) launched the “Plan of Vacation Workshops for Artistic Training Culture 2026", a free training offer aimed at children, young people and adults of the entity.

In this regard, the president of the organization, Juan Chacón, explained that the initiative, developed in partnership between the Government of Barinas and the Integral Recreation Network (REIR), is being implemented simultaneously in schools attached to the IACEB and in different community spaces.

He also pointed out that these recreational activities take place at the “Napoleón Sebastián Arteaga” House of Culture (headquarters of the IACEB) and the “Cristóbal Rojas”, “Dana Zarela” and “José Ángel Lamas” schools of plastic arts.

He pointed out that these workshops offer training in traditional games, singing, playing llanera music instruments, dance, as well as photography, audiovisual production, among others.

“We seek to promote traditional games such as perinola, spinning top and metras. In addition, participants will learn to sing and play instruments of our llanera music, in addition to receiving training in public speaking, photography, audiovisual production, dance, joropo, theater, puppets, manual arts, painting, drawing and modeling in clay, for the direct benefit of 35 communes in the municipality of Barinas,” he said.
