Cyclist Joseny Céspedes wins youth title on the national individual route

The young cyclist Joseny Céspedes, representative of the state of Aragua, was proclaimed champion of the women's individual youth road race in the National Route 2026, held in Valera, Trujillo state.

On a day marked by scorching temperatures, Céspedes imposed an unquestionable pace from start to finish on the demanding 68.60-kilometer route, which connected Avenida Bolivariana de Valera to the headquarters of the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) in the capital of Trujillo.

The Aragüeña scored a superb performance, attacking alone for much of the route and finally stopping the stopwatch for two hours, six minutes and 51 seconds, to record an average speed of 32.448 km/h.

Her performance consolidated her as one of the great promises of national cycling and made it clear that she has the capacity to excel in highly demanding competitions.
