Death toll from earthquake in Myanmar rose to 3,354

The 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred on March 27 in Myanmar has so far registered 3,354 dead, 4,850 injured and approximately 220 missing, according to official figures.
In this regard, the authorities of the Asian nation reported that a total of 17 million people were affected, including 9 million in 57 municipalities close to the epicenter.
Rescue teams have saved 653 people from the rubble, although access to several areas remains limited due to the collapse of infrastructure.
For its part, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the risk of cholera due to damage to health infrastructure and the lack of drinking water. The entity said that the priorities for those affected are water, medical supplies and shelter
In Bangkok, Thailand, no survivors have been found among the 80 people missing under the rubble, according to a press release from TELESUR.
