Debate in the Russian Duma: Everything must be done to free Maduro and the first lady

During the plenary
session of the Russian State Duma, where the imperial
attack against Venezuela was discussed, the leader of the
Communist Party, Guennadi Ziuganov, emphasized that it is
essential to do everything possible to achieve the release of President
Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who are now being held hostage by the Government of Donald Trump.
“It is
necessary to release President Nicolás Maduro and the first
lady, Cilia Flores, from the dungeons of American prisons,” Ziuganov urged.
Ziuganov indicated the creation of a special committee
that works permanently on this important issue and proposed to integrate representatives of other parliamentary
factions into it.
The president of the Duma, Viacheslav Volodin, supported this initiative, stressing the importance of a united parliamentary position in the face of the violation of international law and the sovereignty of independent states, the Russian embassy in Caracas reported in a post on its social networks.
