The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, during the sailing ceremony of the Simón Bolívar School Ship (BE11), in the state of La Guaira, reiterated his rejection of the announcement from the United States to deploy warships in the Caribbean Sea to threaten Latin American nations.

Recently, the United States announced with fanfare the deployment of a force from the Fourth Fleet of the Southern Command, the George Washington aircraft carrier, with sufficient capabilities in electronic warfare, cyberspace, among others, and is being deployed in our Caribbean Sea, so we raise our voice of protest from imperialist ships in a sea that ceases from all Latin Americans,” denounced the Sectorial Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace .

Padrino López added that the empire sees the Caribbean Sea as the Romans described the Mediterranean Sea, in terms of the possibility of controlling the entire maritime space of Latin America and the Caribbean.

He stressed that the “Simon Bolivar” School Ship, during the XXXIV Foreign Education Cruise “Caribbean Integration 2024", will carry the voice of resistance, peace and diplomacy, to make a better world, of balance, a multipolar world.

The naval family has a special way of doing things and of defending our seas, it is a Navy that is constantly fulfilling its constitutional task, and I hand over the undefeated banner of our Bolivarian Navy that carries the strength of Sucre and Bolivar on board,” added the head of the Defense.

“Our ship carries the indomitable, rebellious, independence spirit of Bolivar. We will carry the voice of resistance to the war, declared by different means, against Venezuela,” he said.
