Defined the groups, schedule and stage of the World Baseball Classic in 2026

This Wednesday, it was announced how the four groups from the first round of the sixth edition of the World Baseball Classic were integrated, as well as the schedule and the stages.

It is scheduled to take place from March 5 to 17 next year.

Venezuela was in group D alongside Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Israel and the Netherlands and will play at the Miami Marlins stadium.

For its part, Group A will play at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which is made up of Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Panama and Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico and the United States are part of group B and the meetings will take place at Daikin Park in Houston.

Group C will play at the Tokyo Dome, in the capital of Japan, where they will host Australia, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Taiwan.

In the first round, everyone will be played against everyone in each group, and the two countries that finish first in the second round will qualify. The qualifiers from groups A and B will face each other in Houston, while the top two from C and D will play in Miami.

It should be noted that Miami will be the epicenter of the final phase, hosting quarters, semifinals and the grand final.
