The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, this Thursday during a solemn ceremony of promotions and decorations at the Eclectic Monument, asserted that our country did not deserve to be the victim of a criminal attack by the United States.
“We have come to pay a fair tribute to the noble men and women whose lives were taken from them in a vile, unequal unilateral, illegal and illegitimate attack. The people of Bolivar, of Venezuela, never thought of being victims of an aggression of this nature, I speak to the People of the United States, Venezuela did not deserve that warrior aggression on the part of a world power and it became a stain on our relations and our history!” , Rodríguez said.
During the ceremony he had, the purpose of honoring the memory and sacrifice of the patriotic soldiers and citizens who offered their lives in combat, as well as those who were injured during the defense of the homeland on January 3, he emphasized that it will be historical vindication rather than revenge that the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace will teach as a lesson, in international action based on Simon Bolivar's doctrine of respect for dignity of the other.
The event has an outstanding international dimension, paying tribute to the 32 heroes of the Republic of Cuba who offer their lives defending Venezuelan sacred soil.
