The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, described the murder of Trinidadian fishermen by the United States Armed Forces who remain deployed in the Caribbean as a “self-fulfilling prophecy” by the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad.

Through a post on his Telegram channel, Rodríguez recalled that Persad recently said that “the US Army should kill them all”, referring to attacks on ships, which are accused without proof of being drug traffickers.

In this regard, the senior Venezuelan official assured that the U.S. government wants to alter peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, so she reiterated the need for the union of peoples to defend tranquility and sovereignty in the region.
