This Monday, November 18 , the Minister of Popular Power for Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that, despite the attacks against the Homeland, the Bolivarian Government continues to work in “national union seeking peace, tranquility and economic prosperity for our people.”

In this regard, during a press conference, Rodríguez detailed, with figures, the economic impact that the Venezuelan oil and gas industry has suffered due to the sanctions and attacks of imperialism together with the sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right that push against the country.

“In the case of oil and gas, the impact has been 157.8 million dollars, in the petrochemical industry almost 56 million dollars, in the CVG almost 30 million dollars (...) not counting the impact this has had on the country's transportation, on the country 's industrial sectors in general,” he said.

He emphasized that in view of this, the Bolivarian Government has fortunately activated contingency plans in order to deal with cases such as the distribution of diesel, “to guarantee the minimum impact on the electrical system resulting from this attack on the Muscar center.”

On the other hand, Rodríguez recognized the workers of Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) who are working hard to recover the Musca r Gas Distribution Center, located in Monagas, which was the subject of a new terrorist attack against Venezuela.

“This is a demonstration of national unity, almost all the workers in the industry except those who are at the service of these perverse plans, the majority are for the good and for rescuing the hydrocarbon company that we have built thanks to our own and national efforts,” he said and ratified the National Government's monitoring of the entire situation.

Venezuela will continue to guarantee the essential elements for its well-being and social development,” he said.
