The Executive
Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this
Thursday the presentation of the Economic Emergency Decree to
the National Assembly (AN), from where she pointed out that the world is
facing a commercial reconfiguration led by powers such as China and Russia.
In
this regard, he indicated that the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, has “insistently”
proposed the creation of an international financial system “that does not become
an instrument of extortion and blackmail for the governments of the countries of the world.”
Rodríguez
pointed out that President Maduro has reiterated that “our path is the
multipolar and multicentric world (...) that is our north; relations with
strategic countries such as China, like Russia, like Iran, like India.”
He also
recalled the solidarity offered by the countries mentioned with Venezuela at
times such as the Covid-19 pandemic. “Let's not forget that during the pandemic, the
first vaccines that arrived were from China, Russia and Cuba,” he emphasized.
Finally,
he said that “Venezuela is a rich power, but the main thing is its people
who have resisted, who have been at the forefront to defeat a criminal war,
to defeat extremism, fascism and oligarchy.”
