The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed this Friday that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) responded with dignity in defense of the Homeland during the illegal military attack carried out by the United States (USA) on January 3, in which more than a hundred military and civilian victims were registered.

“Today, a sacred cause is summoned to us and that is to honor those who defended Venezuela to the point of giving their lives in the fulfillment of a historic duty. Our country was the victim of an unjustifiable aggression, and yet, we responded with honor, cohesion and loyalty to the Bolivarian principles that define us as a Republic,” Rodríguez stressed on his Telegram channel.

In this regard, he emphasized that “there was combat here, there was dignity and here there was Homeland”, stressing that those who fell during the imperialist aggression “are heroes, heroines and martyrs of free Venezuela.”

Rodríguez stressed that “their example (that of the fallen) commits us to continue defending freedom and sovereignty with firmness and moral superiority. Our Father Bolivar said it well: 'Freedom is the only objective worthy of the sacrifice of men's lives'”, he quoted.
