The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, urged religious leaders to continue to pray in unity with the people so that the head of state Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores will maintain their strength in the current struggle.
Through a telephone communication coordinated by the head of the Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, the president stated that both leaders are Christians at heart and have always reached out to the country's congregations.
“I only ask that we continue to pray and that we continue to be united with Venezuela. In this ecumenical prayer we must add all our beliefs and spirituality so that they continue to fight with the same force; they have never fainted,” said Rodríguez.
In addition, as reported by Úlmas Noticias, he added that the example of resistance of the presidential couple is a source of pride for the national identity and the Bolivarian spirit.
Finally, the president expressed her conviction about the impact of faith on the protection of the Executive: “I know that your prayers and the hand of our Father have been present to take care of them, to keep them alive and, above all, with great strength.”
In this way, the national Government reaffirms the link between spirituality and political stability in times of difficulty.
He assured that the faith of the people has acted as a protective mantle that allows them to stay alive and strong, thus reaffirming the Government's commitment to peace and peaceful coexistence among all the spiritual sectors of the nation.
