The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated this Tuesday the demand that the government of El Salvador return to compatriots who were illegally transferred to “concentration camps” in the Central American country from the United States (USA).
During his participation in the Great Mobilization in Defense of Migrants, Rodríguez denounced the “systematic violation of both the national legality of the government of the United States, of El Salvador, and of the international legality with which they intend to criminalize Venezuelan nationality.”
He stressed that “Venezuela is always dignified and we cannot allow Venezuelan people to be tainted, to be branded as criminals, to be branded as terrorists, no, they are migrants, their right must be respected”.
Rodríguez signed the statements of President Nicolás Maduro and confirmed that “the government of El Salvador must understand that Venezuelan migrants must return immediately. Venezuela demands immediate access to the information of those migrants who were unjustly and illegally deported, who were kidnapped in the United States on the promise that they were coming to Venezuela and were handed over to a maximum security prison designed for the violation of human rights,” he criticized.
“We demand access to information, we demand the immediate return of our migrants. It's a national cry, not just from mothers, their family, their friends, it's a cry from the entire country, to reject, repudiate the criminalization of migrants and repudiate the fact that Venezuelan kindness is associated with factors such as criminals, as terrorists,” he added.
