The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the process of releasing prisoners initiated last December by President Nicolás Maduro to open spaces for understanding, coexistence and tolerance in the country is still under way.
“We inform the country that we are still evaluating cases and making progress in the release process initiated by Pdte @ NicolasMaduro in 2025 to consolidate a new political moment that allows coexistence, recognition and respect between Venezuelans, in compliance with the law,” Rodríguez said through his account on the social network X.
Earlier, in statements to national and international media at the Miraflores Palace, Rodriguez announced that since the beginning of the process, there have already been 406 releases of people linked to hate crimes.
