This Saturday, the National Executive held a mega-day of Social Care in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, providing assistance to 9,600 families.
The deployment included consultations in general medicine, identification services through Saime, veterinary care through the Nevado Mission, in addition to the sale of food and spaces for community recreation.
The mayor of the municipality, Diógenes Lara, emphasized that the success of the activity lies in the cohesion of the three levels of government. According to the local president, this initiative represents a joint effort between the Bolivarian Government, the Government of Miranda State and the municipality.
“These activities are carried out for the direct benefit of the inhabitants of the Sucre municipality, channeling their needs through public policies designed by the National Government,” said Lara.
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Carrillo, stressed the importance of prioritizing the most sensitive sectors of society. Carrillo stressed that, under instructions from President (E) Delcy Rodríguez, guidance is maintained on the protection of older adults, women and adolescents.
As part of the strategies, the Minister reported on the implementation of a specialized registry for older adults in situations of vulnerability. This census will allow the National, Regional and Municipal Executive to articulate structural and permanent responses.
“The objective is to guarantee maximum social protection and decent care for our older adults,” concluded the holder of the sports portfolio.
