‎El deputy to the National Assembly (AN), for the First Venezuela (PV) party, José Brito, specified that the country's church hierarchy is in a range of “morally unacceptable”, since it does not reject the military aggression maintained by the United States government against the country in seawater Caribbean, as reported by the Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) web portal.

‎En that man, recalled that U.S. actions against Venezuela have caused, among other things, a significant exodus of compatriots and the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference (CEV) has not spoken out.

‎ “Likewise, it is morally unacceptable for the CEV to say nothing when a Venezuelan calls to invade their country and considers himself to be 'Venezuelan'; in other words, it is morally unacceptable that the pronouncements of the Catholic Church continue to be critical and profoundly balanced, equanimous, rational and conciliatory.”
