During her participation in the program Without Truco Ni Maña, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Tania Díaz, rejected the recent statements of the extreme right wing María Corina Machado, whom she accused of placing Venezuela at the center of a possible international confrontation by linking it to the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Díaz warned that Machado irresponsibly said that Venezuela has the capacity to manufacture combat drones of Iranian origin and that the country represents a threat to the United States, while noting that the extreme right would be promoting a narrative that exposes the national territory to a possible foreign attack.

“He is presenting Venezuela as an aggressor actor in a conflict that already involves weapons of great destruction,” he emphasized.

The parliamentarian questioned whether Machado uses legitimate diplomatic relations, such as those between Venezuela and Iran, to justify allegations that could have serious geopolitical consequences. “It's a very big irresponsibility to put the country in the sights of a war,” he said.

Díaz also called on Venezuelan families to reflect on the impact of this type of discourse. “It's not about parties, it's about the nation. People like María Corina Machado are subordinated to external interests that do not seek the welfare of the people,” he said.

Finally, he reiterated that Venezuela is a country committed to peace and national cohesion, and highlighted the role of youth in defending the country's sovereignty and future.
