In the opinion of the deputy Blanca Eekhout, the “commune has been the axis and the epicenter of the Bolivarian Revolution and that is why there is a leading people that must defend the achievements achieved and the power it has managed to build”.

This was stated on the afternoon of this Thursday, January 23, after a mobilization registered in Caracas to mark a new anniversary of the civic-military rebellion that ended the dictatorship of Marcos Pérez Jiménez in the country.

“Our people are always the protagonists, our democracy is participatory and leading, it is true democracy, while bourgeois democracy denies the participation, the leadership and the power of the people,” he said.

The parliamentarian specified that “Bolivarian democracy from the very moment when President Hugo Chávez receives power and takes office transfers it to the People and calls us to refound the Fatherland and the Republic and founds the organization of the People for the exercise of power,” she said.

He added that today, President Nicolás Maduro, honoring the word of Hugo Chávez, told us that “we have a free homeland that is our most precious asset.”
