“The Special Commission for Constitutional Reform is necessary to deepen participatory and leading democracy and, in addition, it will consolidate a new geometry of power, in order to advance symmetric development in accordance with the country's potentialities,” said the deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Julio Chávez.
During an interview with the program Café in the Morning, which is broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión, he stressed that Venezuela is preparing for a new horizon and the failure of the minority sectors of the extreme Venezuelan opposition, who for years and shamefully have called for military intervention, while the vast majority of the people want peace, economic growth and prosperity, will go down in history.
He recalled that in the Annual Message presented by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to the AN, he stressed that the country is currently more robust “with a vigorous non-oil economy that has been growing exponentially in recent years in a sustained manner with achievements in economic matters, in food sovereignty and fundamental sectors.”
Chávez stressed that last year international contracts and agreements worth more than 52 billion dollars were signed, despite unilateral coercive measures against the country, in addition to the new positive numbers generated by tourism for the country.
