The Deputy Minister for Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, stated that “the money given to the violent right in Venezuela,” according to data from Donald Trump's own administration, includes not only the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), but also the State Department and other agencies.
In his account on the social network X, Castillo highlighted that this money “that doesn't appear anywhere, whoever has eyes, that he sees”.
In the message, he attached a graphic showing that from 2017 to 2024, opposition groups received 1,102 million dollars from the US government, USAID and other agencies.
He also points out that the United States Congress, in January of this year, reported that the figure reached 3.5 billion USD “to address migration.”
