Deputy Minister Endes Palencia supervised preventive actions in spas in Zulia

The Deputy Minister of Prevention, Public Security and Peace Quadrants, Endes Palencia, supervised this Monday, February 16, the security operation deployed in the El Limón River, Zulia state, to ensure the peace of mind of the carnival holiday season who attend this tourist space.
“The Community Risk Management Brigades are active in preventive work and we do the detailed studies,” he explained.
He also explained that, in a previous meeting with the governor of the entity, Luis Caldera, and the Security Corps, fundamental strategies for the season were addressed. In this regard, the need to monitor weather conditions was emphasized, especially in low-lying areas close to rivers.
During the tour, Palencia reported on the active participation of the Community Brigades, created by the National Risk Management System (SNGR), whose function is to guide both visitors and residents about the importance of prevention in recreational areas.
In this way, prevention teams carry out constant studies to warn of possible sudden floods due to rains in the headwaters, “if we are in a low-lying river area and there is rain in the headwaters area, those waters will pass through those areas,” he warned, stressing the importance of providing timely guidance to tourists.
Palencia stressed that prevention is the key to the success of the device. With these actions, it seeks to ensure that Venezuelans enjoy a safe and organized Carnival in the different resorts of the region.
