In order to strengthen the ties of scientific and academic cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh, held a cordial meeting with the ornithologist Nguyen Hoai Bao, founder of Wildtour, a pioneering and leading unit with extensive experience in the field of birdwatching, and with Le Manh Hung, principal investigator at the Institute of Biology of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology.
The fruitful meeting took place at the Embassy of Vietnam in Caracas, in an atmosphere of fraternity, cooperation and mutual respect, characteristic of the relations of friendship and solidarity that unite both countries.
During the meeting, visitors shared details about their participation in the first edition of the World Birdwatching Congress, which takes place from October 9 to 12 in the states of Mérida and Táchira, an international event that brings together specialists from various regions of the world in the field of biodiversity, conservation and sustainable tourism.
Deputy Minister Pugh highlighted the relevance of this meeting for the exchange of knowledge and experiences aimed at the development of a sustainable tourism model, which promotes the preservation of birdlife and natural ecosystems in Venezuela.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to the promotion of initiatives that strengthen South-South cooperation and shared scientific knowledge.
The meeting reaffirms the solid bonds of friendship, cooperation and solidarity that characterize relations between Venezuela and Vietnam, aimed at building a common future based on respect, the exchange of knowledge and sustainability.
