The Deputy Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, participated in the World Congress of Anti-Fascist Youth at the facilities of the La Carlota Convention Center, in Miranda state, an opportunity he took advantage of to state that “there are no blockades, no laws that stop the march of this town”.

“President Nicolás Maduro built a legal tool to confront this aggression and I call it the Anti-Blockade Law and with his leadership and support from the National Assembly, Venezuela responded to an illegal aggression with a legal instrument (...) the People of Venezuela have been in battle since 1999,” he said.

He spoke to delegates from visiting countries about unilateral coercive measures and the legal debate about the illegality of this policy, which seeks to inflict hardship and harm on populations.

Castillo pointed out that to impose the MCU, international law had to be twisted (...) The United States abrogated the power to sanction us without considering justice for us,” he said.
