This Tuesday, the presidential spokesman of Argentina, Manuel Adorni, after statements issued by the United States, disavowed Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, pointing out that the government of that country is not yet in a position to accept any winner in the presidential elections in Venezuela.

Adorni, representative of the far-right government of Javier Milei, stated that “we are not in a position to announce any winners,” and he also indicated that the administration hopes to “see how events unfold” in Venezuela.

He also described the Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, as a “dictator” and added that he was proclaimed president ahead of time; in an obvious interventionist action, the Argentine official is unaware of the figure of the Electoral Power through the National Electoral Council (CNE).

Coincidentally, the statements were offered by Adorni after the spokesman for the United States Department of State (USA), Matthew Miller, stated that “we are not yet at that point (González Urrutia is recognized as president). We are in close contact with our partners in the region, especially Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, to find a way forward.”

Since Diana Mondino, foreign minister of Argentina, had reported a few days ago, through her social media account, that the government of Javier Milei recognized Edmundo González Urrutia as the elected president of Venezuela: "After several days of publishing the official electoral records of Venezuela at: http://resultadosconvzla.com, we can all confirm, without a doubt, that the legitimate winner and elected president is Edmundo González,” he said through X.
