Diego Vera at the top of the podium in the 10 and 5 k events of the 1st National Open Water Championship

Diego Vera from Tachirense climbed to the top of the podium in the 10 and 5 kilometer events of the 1st National Open Water Championship, held at the Puerto Cabello naval base in Carabobo state.
Vera dominated the 10 K course with a time of 1:58.55, in a finish that was defined by touch. The second place was occupied by Jondry Segovia from Larense with a record of 1:58.56, while the third place was in the hands of the representative of the state Miranda, Yotis Serafín, who scored 1:58.59.
The women's 10K branch was dominated by Ruthseli Aponte, with a time of 2:17.03. While the Mirandinas Daniela Suárez and Alessandra Dávila ranked second and third, respectively, with a mark of 2:17.12, with a difference of one touch.
For her part, Vera dominated the 5 K with a mark of 1:00.10, followed by the athlete from Larense Jondry Segovia with 1:00.19 and the podium was closed by Juan Sánchez from Miranda with 1:00.30.
In that worst women's category, Andrea Bordones stood out, with a record of 1:08.44; followed by Daniela Suárez, with a time of 1:08.53 and Alessandra Dávila with 1:10.31.
Meanwhile, in the club championship, Sport Center Los Naranjos was crowned with 272 points. The second place went to the Parque Naciones Unidas club with 209 and the third place went to the Emil Friedman Club with 142 units.
