The first vice-president of the
United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the
usual red awning press conference, assured that on July 28,
the People will give “a great gift to Commander Chávez”.
“On July 28, we are going to give Commander
Chávez a great gift, a great victory for all of Venezuela, a great victory,” said the leader
of the ruling party.
He also assured that after the meeting of the National Directorate of the Red Awning, the militancy comes up with key tasks to carry out on the street,
because with sanctions or without sanctions we are going to win the elections.”
Cabello said that in Venezuela “neither the OAS (Organization
of American States) nor the government of the United States will decide
how to do the elections and the European Union to impose what they want; that's over
. Here the elections are made by the institution designated by the
Constitution for this purpose. Guardianship in Venezuela is over! Since
Chávez arrived, the guardianship has ended.”
