Regarding the threats of North American imperialism, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, pointed out that in our country “nothing much is going to happen, but our historic obligation is to prepare for anything.”
“They (imperialism) believe that a
bombing will end everything here in this country? (...) It's not worth it, it's not a single bomb,
it's not like that, whoever believes that this is something that is defended quickly, we are
giving them almost privileged information, they are wrong, it's not like that, it has never been
like that and it will never be like that,” he said during the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV and the Youth Room
of the PSUV.
He stressed that President Nicolás Maduro has always
told the truth to the People and has put them in a situation. At the same time, he confirmed
that, if they try something against our Homeland, the stories of those who made
our Caribbean Peoples will fall short of what “we are going to
do”.
“This people is very courageous and the
leadership has to be at the level and at the height of that people,” he said,
highlighting the training of native peoples with silent weapons.
On the other hand, he emphasized that
Social Movements are also joining these tasks of transformations to adapt to
the new times, convened by President Maduro, which have started
with the impetus of the Constituent Congresses.
“With ideas, with new proposals, that is being done, it has already started, but that must have a methodology, because if things are going to be done so that everything is the same, nothing is done, so it must be a transformative methodology to adapt to what we are experiencing,” he said.
