Diosdado Cabello: Reason helps us, this is a town of peace and working people

This Wednesday, January 14, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed that Venezuela is a people of peace and working people who have demonstrated to the world that they are right, referring to the recent military attack by the United States (USA) against the country.

“It has been demonstrated that the reasons were neither drug trafficking nor gangs (...) Because we have reason, Venezuela is a people of peace, of good people, of working people, of people who never stop working, of people who will never be planning to harm anyone,” he said.

Cabello made this statement during his Con El Mazo Dando program No. 558, stressing that, after the US aggression against Venezuela, the world has an opinion divided by these events.

“Normally when these things are done, imperialism and Europe participate together, normally, today this is not the case. Remember what happened in Iraq, weapons of mass destruction, remember what happened in Libya, all those countries have had joint troops, not this time,” he said.

He assured that just as in Venezuela the People have come out to repudiate the actions of the United States and demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, other peoples around the world have also done so.

“Sectors that we didn't think of, universities, university academics, have publicly expressed their position of rejection, of repudiation of what has been done to our country (...) academics, professors from universities, governments and social movements around the world in support of the Bolivarian Revolution, are also taking to the streets to demand freedom to return to us President Nicolás Maduro and our colleague Cilia Flores,” he said.
