The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reported that very soon the National Assembly (AN) will approve the Law on the Supervision, Regularization, Action and Financing of Non-Governmental and Related Organizations.
“We're going to approve it soon. Bring your contributions, but the chicken bottle with the NGO in this country is over,” he said.
This was stated by Cabello when commenting that the Public Consultation of the aforementioned instrument is under way. “Some people have already started screaming, they're going to scream more than Sayona,” he predicted.
In that regard, he stressed that all NGOs in the country must register “whatever they are called, they will have to be held to account and they will have to say where the money with which they are conspiring comes from, or because the majority is conspiring,” he said.
However, he acknowledged that there are NGOs in the country that do work, but he noted that there are others linked to the opposition sectors that depend on governments and States “such as the gringos.
“That's what's happening here with these so-called NGOs: PROVEA and its combo, they're going to have to receive every last penny,” he warned and stressed that these organizations have been used as a means to attack and seek to destabilize the Bolivarian Government.
“They set up conspiracies, they receive money for writing badly against their own country,” he stressed.
In that sense, he argued that a subject who wrote against leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution, “was imprisoned for incitement to hate and he accuses us of barbarities.”
“The opportunity has come for this man to present his evidence, because if he accuses us of all that, he must have the evidence, to take advantage of the fact that he is in detention and presents the evidence against Diosdado, Nicolás, against Jorge and Tarek, against all of us,” he said.
