The general secretary of the United
Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that, as part
of the restructuring of the red awning, we are now moving from
street leaders to collective management with the creation of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees.
“We are moving from street boss now to collective
management,” he said, stressing that the responsibilities now
will not rest on a single person but on the collective.
In this regard, during a
PSUV press conference, he indicated that the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees will consist of
nine members elected by the residents of the community.
He noted that these committees will have a leadership,
which will be responsible for coordinating the work team. “That leadership
can be fixed, rotating or changed from time to time, but it's from there from the
street, it's not imported, it's not an official of the mayor's office or the
governor's office, it's from the street, of authentic leadership,” he said.
He also indicated that they will
have to have an established functioning, a work agenda, an agenda of
education and ideological formation, of preparation for defense and will have the
task of organizing revolutionary families.
In addition, he emphasized that teammates from the Great Patriotic Pole
(GPP) parties can
also be added to this proposal. “The doors are open here, without sectarianism of any kind, without
blockades of any kind (...) if you apply and accept the responsibilities, you are
welcome,” he said.
