This Wednesday, May 14, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that this is not the first time that the United States has kidnapped children, referring to the case of Maikelys Espinoza, the two-year-old girl that imperialism sent to a shelter after expelling her Venezuelan parents, who had already been handed over to her mother.
“This is not the first time that the United States has done this, the world must remember the boy Elián (González),” he said. This case sparked a legal battle for the custody of this Cuban child, whom the United States refused to hand over.
“Today and Elián is there in Cuba, leader of the Communist Party of Cuba, a fighter, a revolutionary,” he said.
During his Con El Mazo Dando program, on broadcast number 526, he stated that “they have done this with many children, they have already done it in many places, of course, in some places that happens and the Presidents do not accompany the battles of the People”.
“Here, on the contrary, the President took the lead and said: 'we will not rest until we bring Maikelys and that's how it was,” he emphasized.
In this regard, he said that “we feel this Homeland, we unite in an act of immediate solidarity with Maikelys, with his cause and his family, and with the boys and girls who are still there, who must send them”.
Cabello read a list of a group of extremist opponents, who never spoke out on the case of the girl Maikelys Espinoza,
“They know that if they say something, the gringos give them pao, pao and scold them. Gringos can't impose anything on a revolutionary,” he said.
