This Tuesday, January 13, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted that Venezuela achieved a record seizure of almost 70 tons of drugs in 2025, ratifying the commitment of security agencies to the fight against crime, drug trafficking and internal conspiracies.

“Last year we achieved a record seizure, the largest seizure after breaking with the DEA here in Venezuela almost 70 tons of drugs in different operations,” he said during a press conference.

He highlighted the efficiency of the security forces, noting that, although they became less operational, many more seizures were made. “This has to do with intelligence work and teamwork, especially teamwork. For this reason, a recognition to the different chiefs of the police here in Venezuela, of the State security agencies, who have been able to coordinate to carry out this work,” he said.

He confirmed that these certain blows that Venezuela was able to inflict on drug trafficking are thanks to the perfect “popular-military-police fusion” that is taking place in the country.

He took the opportunity to reiterate that our country is not neglected and continues in the permanent fight against drug trafficking, although the world knows that there is very little space for this crime in Venezuela, since “its main laboratories are in Colombia and main distribution routes in Ecuador.”
