Diosdado Cabello: We are going to transcend the structure of the party to one that adapts to the new times

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the red awning “will transcend the management structure it has, to one adapted to the new times.”

At a press conference, Cabello explained that “the party must have its own methods according to the situation: more dynamic, more functional, of collective work, of leaving behind the figure of the boss (...) If someone sets an example with the issue of collective leadership, he is called Nicolás Maduro Moros”.

He commented that he has been called for consultations - by the Head of State - on a Sunday at six in the afternoon or Thursday in the morning. “The president is extremely careful with that issue, he always makes collective decisions: always.”

In this regard, he stated that “governors are asked to form a high command and mayors and they must be surrounded by the party, it cannot be friends or businessmen.” He pointed out that otherwise “we would be reproducing a terrible vice called caudillism (I rule here and no one else) and if the president sets the example, more than one must follow what the president says.”

He stated that this is “the school of Hugo Chávez, in different ways but the same school, Nicolás Maduro consults everything, as president, J head of state and party. We can now feel that the Revolution is standing because it has a leadership, in addition to a people that support it. The fate of the People will be the fate of the leadership of the Revolution!”
