Diosdado Cabello: We are not going to cut our veins because they are threatening us

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, confirmed this Monday that the Venezuelan people will celebrate Christmas in peace, despite threats from the United States (USA) against the country.

“Life has to go on. For example, who is going to take away the joy of Christmas from us? Who can do it? We are not going to cut our veins because they are threatening us. We are going to celebrate Christmas in peace and joy,” Cabello emphasized during the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV and the IV Congress of the JPSUV.

He reiterated President Nicolás Maduro's call for prolonged active resistance, which also involves preparing for scenarios that we don't contemplate in daily life.

“Prolonged active resistance is that, preparing, preparing ourselves even if threats pass into real attacks, the country has to continue to function because that is part of our preparation (...) where we have to fight, we fight, but where we have to produce, we produce”, I emphasize.
