Diosdado Cabello: We do have a candidate, Nicolás Maduro is going!

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, when giving the leader of the red awning, Nicolás Maduro, the banner of the political organization, emphasized that “here is your party (...) We do have a candidate, Nicolás is going.”

Cabello mentioned and explained some articles of the PSUV Regulations that complied with Article 67 of the National Constitution, “a democratic method, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela has decided from the ground up, by acclamation and by consensus, that the candidate of the Bolivarian Revolution is Nicolás Maduro.”

“From my heart, I ask this great Plenary of Congress to ratify the decision taken by the street, community and UBCH assemblies,” he said.

“We have this Congress as the highest level of decision of the Party, of endorsing the decision taken by our rank and file, because this is established by our Regulations, Article 30 of the Party Regulations,” he said.

The banner was presented at the Caracas Polyhedron, where it participated in the V Congress of the PSUV and the IV Youth Congress (JPSUV ), led by the president of the red awning, Nicolás Maduro, for the acceptance of his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Election.
